What should the nursing assistant do when entering a patient’s room and discovering a fire has broken out?

A Assist the patient to move them out to a safe location, away from the room

It is important to remember the “RACE” acronym. First, the nursing aid have tos to “Rescue” the patient. Then, they have to to “Activate” the fire alarm in order to notify others of the fire. Third, they must “Contain” the fire by closing the door. Last, the nursing aid have to “Extinguish” the fire with an available fire extinguisher. So answers B and D are both performed, but it is important to move the patient out first. Answer A is only essential if clothing on the aid catches fire and they have to to put it out.

There are definitely a few mistakes in this app, some of the answers are just plain wrong so make sure this is not your only source of study material. Other than that this app is very helpful.

I would love to give this app 5 stars but in the Nursing Skills section it does not allow you to go on to part 7. After you get to part 6 it either just never loads or it tells you to go to part 7 and does absolutely nothing.
